Helpful Prizma Tips.

* Shake your Prizma Powderz before using.

* Use the white Prizma Dappen Dish so you can see if the liquid is getting contaminated. Clean your dappen dish and brush before each new colour.

* When creating a 2-Colour nail with both an Original Powder and a Prizma Powder be sure to use the Prizma Dappen Dish for the liquid (use for the Prizma powderz) and the Black Tammy Taylor Dappen Dish for liquid (to be used for the Original powder.) This keeps both Powders their true colour. For best results apply the nail in a 4-Ball Method. Create a free-edge by patting the 1st ball.

Pat the 2nd ball even with the smile line. Apply the 3rd ball 1/32â€Â away from the cuticle in the cuticle area, stroking away from the cuticle. The 4th ball using clear powder is applied in the stress area and stroked over the entire nail.

* Do NOT use a 100 grit file or a drill to finish the nail, it will leave scratch marks in the acrylic, making it difficult to buff smooth. Use a 180 grit Long Lasting Zebra file followed by a Clean Finish Buffer.

* After filing your Prizma nails, wash your files in warm soapy water using a plastic manicure brush then disinfect them. Tammy recommends one set of files for Prizma nails and one set for your Pink & Whites.

* Tammy Taylors Sanitize will remove any color on the skin, just spray it on and wipe off.

* Apply 2-3 coats of Super Dry Top Coat to keep the Prizma colour true. If you want a little brighter or a little bluer colour apply 1-2 coats of A-Coat and 1 coat of Z-Coat.

* Apply a thin wet coat of clear powder over the Prizma when doing fill-ins only. This will keep the colour from getting too translucent at the cuticle area.

* Apply a darker Prizma colour over a lighter Prizma colour to do a colour change. Just file down the entire top of the Prizma nails with a 100 grit Purple Terminator file and then overlay the top with a new equal intensity Prizma colour or darker Prizma colour.

* To change from a darker Prizma colour to a lighter Prizma colour, just soak off Prizma nails with acetone and apply a new set. I do NOT suggest soaking off more than once every 3 months.
